#RECIPE:Double-Cheeseburger & Home Fries π ✓Only One Afi Blog✨
Here's a delicious recipe for a Double Cheeseburger π with Seasoned Potato Wedges π that’s juicy, cheesy, and packed with flavor — perfect for a satisfying meal!
π Double Cheeseburger Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef (80/20 for juiciness)
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- 4 slices cheddar or American cheese
- 4 burger buns (preferably brioche or sesame)
- Butter (for toasting buns)
- Lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, red onion (optional)
- Ketchup, mustard, mayo (as desired)
Instructions:

Form Patties
- Divide ground beef into 4 equal balls and flatten into thin patties (slightly wider than your buns).
- Season both sides with salt and pepper.

Cook the Patties
- Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Add a touch of oil.
- Cook patties 2–3 minutes per side.
- In the last minute, place a slice of cheese on each patty and cover to melt.

Toast the Buns
- Spread butter on cut sides of buns.
- Toast on the skillet or grill until golden brown.

Assemble the Burger
- Bottom bun + sauce of choice + 1 cheesy patty + toppings (lettuce, tomato, etc.) + 2nd cheesy patty + more sauce + top bun.

Ingredients:
- 3 large russet potatoes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Salt, to taste
- Chopped parsley (for garnish, optional)
Instructions:

Prep Potatoes
- Wash and cut potatoes into thick wedges.
- Soak in cold water for 20–30 minutes (removes starch = crispier wedges), then pat dry.

Season & Bake
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Toss wedges in oil and seasonings until well coated.
- Spread on a baking sheet (don’t overcrowd).
- Bake 35–40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.

For the Pasta & Chicken:
12 oz (340g) pasta (penne, rigatoni, or rotini)
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 large chicken breasts (cut into bite-sized chunks)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
½ teaspoon paprika
Salt & pepper to taste
2 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped)
1 tablespoon fresh basil (optional)
For the Cheesy Sauce:
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
2 cups milk (whole or 2%)
1 cup heavy cream (or half & half)
1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional for tang)
Salt & pepper to taste
For the Bread Topping:
2 cups cubed bread (day-old French bread or sourdough preferred)
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 garlic clove (minced)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon parsley or Italian seasoning
Pinch of salt

1. Cook the Pasta
Boil water and cook pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. Prepare the Chicken
Season chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and cook the chicken until golden and cooked through (about 6–8 mins). Add parsley and basil, then set aside.
3. Make the Cheesy Sauce
In the same skillet or saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1–2 minutes until golden.
Slowly whisk in milk and cream. Simmer until thickened (about 5 mins).

4. Combine & Assemble
