Here’s a delicious and tasty recipe for baked green apple and peach pie, accompanied by a vanilla Oreo shake recipes that make a perfect side. 

Baked Green Apple and Peach Pie


Ingredients


For the Pie Filling:

- 4 cups green apples, peeled, cored, and sliced (about 4-5 medium apples)

- 2 cups ripe peaches, peeled and sliced (about 3-4 medium peaches)

- 3/4 cup granulated sugar

- 2 tablespoons lemon juice

- 1 teaspoon cinnamon

- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

- 2 tablespoons cornstarch

- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, cut into small pieces


For the Pie Crust:

- 1 package (14 oz.) refrigerated pie crusts (or homemade if you prefer)

- 1 egg (for egg wash)

- 1 tablespoon sugar (for sprinkling)


Instructions


1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).


2. Prepare the Filling:

   - In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced green apples and peaches.

   - Add the granulated sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cornstarch. Toss until the fruit is evenly coated.


3. Prepare the Pie Crust:

   - Roll out one of the pie crusts and fit it into a 9-inch pie dish. Leave the overhang.

   

4. Fill the Pie:

   - Pour the fruit filling into the prepared pie crust. Dot the top with small pieces of butter.

   - Roll out the second pie crust and either drape it over the fruit filling or cut it into strips for a lattice top. If using a full crust, cut a few slits to allow steam to escape.


5. Egg Wash and Sugar Sprinkle:

   - Beat the egg and brush it over the top crust. Sprinkle with a tablespoon of sugar for added sweetness and crunch.


6. Bake the Pie:

   - Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.

   - Reduce the temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for an additional 30-40 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the filling is bubbly.

   - If the edges of the pie crust brown too quickly, cover them with foil.


7. Cool and Serve:

   - Once baked, remove the pie from the oven and let it cool for at least 1 hour before slicing.

Ingredients

- 4 large scoops vanilla ice cream

- 1 cup milk (adjust for desired thickness)

- 4-6 Oreo cookies (or more, to taste)

- Whipped cream (for topping)

Instructions


1. Blend Ingredients:

   - In a blender, combine the vanilla ice cream, milk, and Oreo cookies. Add caramel to this for enhanced taste.

   - Blend until smooth and creamy. Adjust the amount of milk if you want a thinner shake.


2. Serve:

   - Pour the shake into tall glasses.

   - Top with whipped cream and garnish with crushed Oreo cookies or additional whole Oreos.
